When my session launches, I get an alert "Seil cannot connect with kernel extension."

I'd like to remove Seil, but my Seil.app > Contents > Applications > Seil Preferences.app will not launch.

How can I remove Seil manually?

Seil Preferences and uninstaller works well in Sierra.

Please install Seil again from package and open Seil from Launchpad twice.
Then Preferences will be open, you can uninstall Seil from uninstaller.

I've downloaded Seil 12.1.0 from https://pqrs.org/osx/karabiner/seil.html.en

When I double-click Seil.sparkle-guided.pkg the installer launches and displays a dialogue box "Waiting for other installations to complete...".

I'm guessing I have a partially-installed Seil that I somehow need to delete.

Can you please help again?

No. Another installation process (not Seil) is running.
Please check other processes or restart your machine to terminate
another installer.
Then run Seil installer again.
