Super Mario Sunshine was critically acclaimed by game critics and fans.[39] Particular praise went towards the graphics, music, story, gameplay and the addition of F.L.U.D.D. IGN praised the addition of the water backpack for improving gameplay,[35] and GameSpy commented on the "wide variety of moves and the beautifully constructed environments".[33] The game received a perfect score from Nintendo Power, who commended the "superb graphics, excellent music, clever layouts, funny cinema scenes and ingenious puzzles".[37]
Super Mario Sunshine won GameSpot's annual "Best Platformer on GameCube" award.[40] GamePro gave it a perfect score, stating that the game was "a masterpiece of superior game design, infinite gameplay variety, creativity, and life."[3] The American-based publication Game Informer said that the game is arguably "the best Mario game to date."[31] Computer and Video Games also mentioned the game is "better than Super Mario 64."[27] The game placed 46th in Official Nintendo Magazine's 100 greatest Nintendo games of all time.[41] AllGame gave a lower review, stating that "During the six-year span between Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, platform games have become more epic, more interactive, and prettier. Yet the core element of collecting items in a world divided into sub-sections has been left unchanged. So it comes with a modicum of disappointment that Super Mario Sunshine doesn't shake up the genre with a number of new and fresh ideas other than the usual enhancements expected from a sequel."[26]
Nintendo hasn't been above teasing fans, either. In a Twitter post from summer 2019, the company posted an image of Mario, looking as though he's enjoying a tropical vacation, with a caption that said, "No matter where your summer odyssey took you, we hope it was filled with sunshine!" A-ha! Two games hinted at in one post? You can imagine the excitement, which hasn't yet turned into any official news.
Super Mario Sunshine (スーパーマリオサンシャイン, Sūpāmariosanshain?) is a 3D platforming game for the Nintendo GameCube. It is a Super Mario series title that serves as an indirect sequel to Super Mario 64. The game was developed by Nintendo's EAD division and published by Nintendo. It was released in North America on August 26, 2002, Japan on July 19, 2002, in Europe on October 4, 2002, and in Australia on October 11, 2002. In 2003, the game was re-released as a Player's Choice title.
I have two copies of Super mario sunshine and a working gamecube. The gamecube can run The Legend Of Zelda Collectors Edition (A bundle of a Windwaker trial, the original Legend of Zelda, a Link to the Past, and a few more). It works perfectly fine on all editions on the bundled disc. When I put in my super mario sunshine disc (either one of two) it plays the Nintendo logo and makes a sound, shows Dolby surround sound or whatever and then says "The disc could not be read..." This happens on both of the discs at the same point and neither have scratches. I don't have any more money for a new gamecube or another super mario sunshine copy. When I earn it, what do I do? I cannot diagnose the problem. I need help diagnosing it and finding the problem.
It is said the local citizens are friendly and the weather forecast suggests year-round sunshine. However, when they get to the island, they quickly find out that the peaceful paradise has been polluted by a mysterious stranger. Worse still, the individual bears a striking resemblance to Mario! Determined to clear his reputation and clean up the island, Mario sets off on his greatest adventure yet.
Words cannot describe how messed up this game is. FLUDD made Mario feel like he was carrying a rock on his back, and he felt really restricted. The setting of the game was meh, and even Yoshi was messed up (Yoshi DIES in water)! Both SM64 and SMG are far superior games and SMS might be the only actually bad Mario game.
Following my surprise acquisition of a Nintendo Switch and the lucky find of Super Mario 3D All-Stars, I could finally go on this journey through Isle Delfino for myself. It was time for me to see if sunshine really shines upon this game, or if it might be better to let it be eclipsed by other entries in the franchise.

If there's a super mario sunshine 2, I hope there'll be a reference to Coronovirus like the everyone in corona mountain wears masks and you have to fill fludd with soap and wash your hands every 5 mis
Well, closest thing we have is SMS inside Super Mario 3D All-Stars, and I doubt there's been a change.
Heheyyy Believe me, I own Super Mario sunshine, a Wii, two GameCube controllers and a memory card, and a lot more stuff that's actually for the Wii. So don't go telling me that I've never played Super Mario Sunshine from beginning to end 'cause I have!
well done.
