Hi fellow Habitaters! I have a few updates that I wanted to share with you all this week:

-->This Sunday is Shanty Town! We have 6 wonderful teams competing to construct a home out of cardboard boxes and duct tape- Stop by Scott Lawn from 4-8pm to check out the houses, see your favorite board members, and help raise awareness for the issue of substandard housing!

--> Habitat for Humanity is all about giving a hand up to those in need. Naturally we were drawn to the Raise a Roof Challenge which benefits an organization called ReBuilding Together. ReBuilding Together has many qualities in common with Habitat (think of them as our cousin organization). They focus on renovating existing homes to quality levels. They are working with HGTV to challenge OSU and Michigan students to raise money for their local ReBuilding Together affiliates. The winning teams will be featured on an HGTV episode and the individual that raises the most money will win $10,000! Check out the Leaderboard on the Facebook page- there are not many teams and not much money being raised. Our team has a great chance! And Team Habitaters is up and running! Follow this link to join our team (http://goo.gl/YBkq4) We will be providing shirts for team members and working on getting everyone together to fund raise! It's another opportunity for you to get involved!

I hope to see you this Sunday and to see you sign up for our team! Thank you all for making Habitat a success here at Ohio State. As always, feel free to contact me with any questions or comments! Let us know how we are doing as your board or share those creative event suggestions that your creative brains come up with!

Have a great weekend & Go Bucks!

Jamie
