A message to international students regarding checking your application status

Dear International Students,

Each of you can check your application status on this web page:
http://appstatus.osu.edu/

If any of the following items are marked as "INITIATED" on the
application status page, it means that I have not yet received those
items from you OR that your application packet has arrived to my
office, but I have not yet opened it and logged your materials.

1) All letters of recommendation
2) Personal Statement

Please be advised that applicants need to allow up to five business
days for materials to be logged on the app status page.


If your GRE or TOEFL requirements are marked as "INITIATED", it could
mean one of two things:

1) Your GRE and/or TOEFL scores have not been reported to OSU by ETS

OR

2) Your GRE and/or TOEFL scores have been reported, but have not yet
been matched from the score database to your profile on the
application administration system. Scores are electronically matched
by the Graduate Admissions Office at least once per week.


If your transcript requirement is marked as "INITIATED", it could mean
one of two things:

1) your transcript has not been received by OSU Graduate Admissions

OR

2) your transcript has been delivered to OSU Graduate Admissions, but
is waiting in a queue to be opened and logged according to the order
in which it was received.


The Department of Chemistry is only responsible for logging the
receipt of personal statements and recommendation letters. If your
concern is regarding either your GRE/TOEFL scores or your transcripts,
