As a result of years of experience as the Ohio EPA asbestos coordinator, the problem is not lack of regulation, but lack of enforcement. One case in particular showed the lengths that the Ohio EPA (a.k.a. Every Polluter's Advocate, Endustrial Protection Agency) will take in order to dismiss a NESHAP asbestos case.
OEPA does not seem to be adequately concerned about the Health and Safety
of their own employees, much less the general public:
