Dear Waste Warriors,
Campus Recycling has a very exciting project coming up and we’d love your involvement.
OSU has signed up to participate in the
EPA Game Day Challenge this year, a nationwide
competition
between universities to reduce waste at football games. We will be bringing together a
team of 50+ volunteers at the
October 30th
home football game to increase recycling and recycling awareness. Would you like to join our effort?
Below are the two opportunities to get involved – collect recyclables at the stadium gates, or collect recyclables from tailgaters. Times are TBA as the kickoff time has not yet been determined, so we currently are looking for
interested people to sign up now, and then we’ll finalize details next week (after the game time is announced) to confirm your participation.
FOOTBALL GATE RECYCLING – October 30th
- Saturday - time TBA; staff gates 2 hours before game, plus 20 min during half time
- Reser Stadium - meet at loading dock on opposite side of 26th Street across from LaSells
- Staffing bins at the stadium gates before the game, plus round up of the bins at half time. In the game does not sell out, you get in for free after volunteering.

FOOTBALL TAILGATER RECYCLING – October 30th
- Saturday, 10/30 - time TBA; will have 2- and 4-hour shifts
- Reser Stadium - meeting location TBA
- To maximize the amount of recycling collected at this game, we will have teams of volunteers roving through tailgating areas prior to the game, collecting recyclables from fans. In cases where games are not sold out, you get into the game for free after
volunteering.

Calling All Student Musicians!
We are looking for song writers who are deeply interested in sustainability issues to play at this year’s “Sustainaball” on November 18th in the MU Ballroom from 7:00-9:00
p.m.
The point of this fun event is to spread awareness about sustainability and to connect the arts with a passion for environmental and social well-being.
Food will be provided along with an information fair about exciting activities on-campus and ways to get involved in the OSU sustainability movement. To set-up an audition please contact Bo Bestvina at sustain...@oregonstate.edu
by October 23rd , so that we can have time to make an awesome line-up!
