🍁 IGMP/MLD and Multicast traffic

Hi,

While labbing, you can often verify the results of your configuration by using show commands e.g. while studying OSPF or BGP, you can use show commands to examine the RIB and FIB.

But not always.

One area where you need to send actual traffic is multicast. You need a way to send IGMP (or MLD) join/leave messages to verify multicast group membership.

And send multicast data traffic to verify packet replication and multicast tree pruning.
