Generate a BPDU frame with Ostinato

Hi,

I have a question about if it is possible to generate a BPDU frame with Ostinato. I want to simulate a BPDU frame with a laptop connected to a port on Cisco switch to trigger spanning-tree bpdu guard to error disable the port.

Yes you can - however, Ostinato doesn't have a STP protocol builder so
you'll have to figure out the STP payload bytes based on what values
you want the fields to contain and use hexdump protocol

It works, what a great peace of software this is, I am really impressed by

I was able to make an BPDU packet and could trigger the protection in the
switch that would cause the port to shutdown (BPDU guard). I also figured
out how to change priority and other values that will make Ostinato a great
product to use when testing different protection features in the switch,
like port-security, storm-control, bpdu-guard and root guard and so on.

Is it possible for you to share with me how you generated the BPDU packet? I want to test and validate the setting on a ESXi host to ensure it blocks the frame.
