Playback Network Traffic

Good Morning,

Is it possible to playback pcap udp stream files which have been recorded in Wireshark?

I run a small game server for an old computer game(Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising)

My Gaol is the record all traffic from the players(on the game host), and then replay them. The reason for this is that we sometimes have cheaters on the server. If I could find a way to replay the packets and see what players did on the map, I could finally have a clean server.

ps. I've just bought the single user license.

Hi Seth,

That sounds like an interesting use case!

Yes, it is possible to replay PCAP files containing UDP packets - see PCAP Edit and Replay - Ostinato Guides

I'm not entirely sure how a replay will help you find cheaters. I am not a gamer - although I did write a game called Hell's Kitchen a long time ago :-)

thanks for the reply. Wow, nice game you did already back in 1997 :)

I think what I'm trying to do is mission impossible.... Before I give up... Is there anyway I can share with you my desktop and quick show you my plan... If you say this is not possible, than I'm happy to give up on this.... It will take about 30min of your time... How much would that cost me?
