It says 10G/25G/40G1. If i have the right kind of server, the turbo drone will run IMIX traffic at what rate max ?
2. Why do you say port and user in the license ?
My topology the turbo drones DUTs are multiple, so from that controller (agent) i am sending 4x25G ports using 2x25GNIC cards.
Since it is one controller, traffic generator, the license can allow to send on all 4x25G Ports ?
3. For non-turbo package, i can send on 8x25G ports with 4x25G NIC cards in the multiple port groups concurrently ? the throughput will be limited but i can run 25G ports with the non-turbo package license ?
" Since you have 4x25G ports, you will need 4x25G Turbo licenses." : 2xPorts are TX, and the other 2xPorts Rx traffic from the DUTs traffic and are not TX, is that OK with 2xTurbo.
1. Hope you can have a discounted +fraction cost model for the port-pair for bi-directional setup of traffic, that is the usual scenario.
The Drone Agent that is generating the packets at 25G using X-number of cores:
Question2: For the 2-NIC cards 2x25G per NIC, traffic generation load: Is there a need to assign core affinity of X-number of cores / NIC ?
And run two Drone agents one per NIC to get the full 2x25=50G load of traffic generation on 2xPorts ?
Question3: If i have a 100G NIC port (Intel e810 ICE port), what will prevent it to load it with 25G of traffic stream generation with a turbo license ?
3a. Will the generator agent work up to the licensed speed of 40G on a 100G NIC port ? (of course with right server type).

You can see details of performance for various packet sizes at Turbo Transmit add-on – Ostinato Traffic Generator for Network Engineers2. Why do you say port and user in the license ?The number of licenses depends on number of users and number of portsMy topology the turbo drones DUTs are multiple, so from that controller (agent) i am sending 4x25G ports using 2x25GNIC cards. The controller is only the GUI (or python script). The agent generates the actual traffic (More at Architecture - Ostinato Guides)Since it is one controller, traffic generator, the license can allow to send on all 4x25G Ports ?Since you have 4x25G ports, you will need 4x25G Turbo licenses. Since these 4 ports are spread over 2 NIC cards, these 2 NIC cards can be both on one agent PC or on 2 different PCs (one NIC each).3. For non-turbo package, i can send on 8x25G ports with 4x25G NIC cards in the multiple port groups concurrently ? the throughput will be limited but i can run 25G ports with the non-turbo package license ?Yes, you can.Happy to further clarify if required.Srivats (Founder, Ostinato)
