Can anyone identify any of the women in the middle row? I know that my grandmother Carrie Berg Bode is third from left, the old woman is Grietje Wienenga Bode , holding Dan Prine.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Jill, do you know where the photo was taken? If it was in the area where your grandmother lived (what that Ackley), you might sent the photo to the Heritage Center there. Just a thought.

that's a good idea, Grace. or an Ancestry Public Tree person.....didn't think of that. It is in Butler County.

I will check there! Thanks. I certainly used to know who they were. My mother told me, but she also confused the two sisters to the left of Gramma Bode.

I checked it out and it helped me with two of the names and I could tag some additional people. There are still some unknowns. I think the person on the far left is a sis ter of Tammen who lived down the streen two houses from where this photo was taken---probably in Butler County, where Grietje lived.
How are you!!? Minnesota is in my mind constantly these days. This is so horrible to think of Alex and Renee. Just horrible. Is your health ok? I had two knee replacements this past year but I am doing very well. Writing books and getting them self-published. Working on my Ostfriesens now. Hope to have it done by the end of this year.
Daughter Anne lives in Massachusetts so we are a bi-coastal family, but go out there every June and November to see her two children, who we adore to the moon. They are 5 and 7, such an adorable age. They are learning to ski this winter and we will be out there in arch to ski with them at Stowe. Should be fun. (Actually, I don't ski anymore but it is alway sfun to be with them.)
I might get to Iowa this summer but I don't know for sure. I should. I have many obligations to do; I still have two farms in the NC Iowa farmed by local farmers. I need to see my cousin in Mpls and get to Hamilton County to do a session on my book about the orphans.
