Hey,

I found out Activity Streams are spec'd in JSON as well, but I found no mention of OStatus supporting JSON at some point. Could this ever be the case?

I can think of some use cases where JSON would be preferable over XML, especially in JavaScript and systems that use it, like CouchDB.

Groeten,

We probably don't need to explicitly spec usage of JSON-form AS data for OStatus as it stands now, but it would certainly be a great way to store or transfer data within an application -- you retain the full structure of the ActivityStreams data from the feeds, but don't need to muck about with XML except at the site-to-site layer where everything's XML/Atom-flavored. (Probably ideal for pushing received data to web front-end code, too!)
