hi all! i've been building facebook, twitter, and google+ bridges for
the ostatus component protocols, and i'm starting on the last one for
ostatus itself. i wanted to give you all a heads up and solicit any
thoughts or feedback you might have.

background:
http://snarfed.org/2012-07-14_salmon_for_facebook_twitter_and_google_plus
http://snarfed.org/2012-03-12_activitystreams_for_facebook_and_twitter

http://snarfed.org/2012-01-16_webfinger_for_facebook_and_twitter
http://snarfed.org/2011-07-27_facebook_app_for_ostatus

the code for the ostatus part of the project is going into
https://github.com/snarfed/ostatus-unofficial , alongside the other
bridges.

thanks in advance!

p.s. DJ's right, it looks like ostatus.org was hacked by link spammers
and many pages now have "cytotec" spam links. that's embarrassing.
cc'ing evan, who will hopefully know who to nudge for some sysadmin
patch love.

Thanks, I'll take a look. Will probably just redirect everything to w3c site.

That's very good news ryan! do you have any package/archive of all these bridges together to ease installation of the whole? i'd love to test that...

regarding ostatus.org links indeed it would be good to relay on the ostatus w3c cg to host the pages...that would be a first start into having it as a w3c rec ,)

hey walter! i definitely plan to do that, probably at
http://ostatus-unofficial.appspot.com/ . i haven't deployed anything
there yet, but you can watch the code happen at
https://github.com/snarfed/ostatus-unofficial , and i can deploy
partial builds early if you have an urgent need.
