Default MAXAGENTS for ossec version 3.6 rpm package

Does anyone know the default MAXAGENTS # that comes with version 3.5 rpm package for centos 8?

Hi Jim,

By default the MAXAGENTS is 2048, you can change this variable chossing between 2 and 65000.

Thanks for the information.  So just to confirm, if i download the Centos 8 rpm packages from the following link

https://updates.atomicorp.com/channels/atomic/centos/8/x86_64/RPMS/

for ossec-hids-server-3.6.0-12032.el8.art.x86_64.rpm, the default also set to 2048?

Jim, sorry for the late response.

For ossec-hids-server-3.6.0-12032.el8.art.x86_64.rpm the default Limit of Agents is set to 16384.

You can check this information with the flag -m on agent_control :

/var/ossec/bin/agent_control -m

Limit of agents: 16384
