Alpine Linux installaton without systemd

I want to install Ossec Server on Alpine Linux following the instructions on the homepage for the community version. I get the following error message:

/usr/lib/gcc/aarch64-alpine-linux-musl/11.2.1/../../../../aarch64-alpine-linux-musl/bin/ld: cannot find -lsystemd: No such file or directory
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [Makefile:930: ossec-maild] Error 1
