Dears colleagues, seagrass biologists and ecologists, good morning to everyone,

it is with pleasure that I wish to inform you about the organization of the 2nd stage of marine biology and scientific diving at the island of Salina (Aeolian Archipelago, north Sicily) from 28th September-3 October 2022, and which focuses on the ecology of Posidonia oceanica systems and seagrasses in general. Also this year the stage is entirely financed by the Blue Marine Foundation (which allows to significantly reduce the participation costs), and is open to an international audience.

The teachers are Gabriele Procaccini (Stazione Zoologica A. Dohrn, Naples), Lazaro Marin-Guirao (CSIC-IEO, Murcia, Spain) and myself (OGS, Trieste). The stage is for undergraduate, graduate and early PhD students interested in seagrass biology and ecology.

Please disclose this opportunity to your students and collaborators and to those you think may be interested. All details on organization, scientific content and costs can be requested from Simona Caruso (Blue Marine Foundation) at coordsum...@gmail.com (as indicated in the flyer attached)

thanks for your attention and kind collaboration in advertising this opportunity,

cheers, ciao, Maria Cristina Gambi
