Dear Colleague, 

I’d like to introduce you to a new not-for-profit organisation I’m helping to set up HANDI - The Healthcare App Network for Development and Innovation.www.handihealth.org

HANDI is intended to provide to provide mutual support, networking and learning opportunities for all those who have an interest in health and care apps including clinicians, developers, patients and service users and indeed anybody with an interest in health, care and well-being.

We are in the process of establishing HANDI as a Community Interest Company and want to identify people interested in helping us or who just want to be kept in touch with developments.

We intend HANDI to have both a web and physical presence and plan FREE introductory workshops in London, Warwick and Newcastle. We want to introduce developers to those with good ideas and to those who can help turn a good idea into a sustainable product or service.

We plan to work with Government, Industry, the NHS and others to ensure that the technical platform and ecosystem is created in the UK that will enable apps to deliver their potential to transform the way we deliver health and care.
