This osprey was found in Lake Tarpon and was too water logged to get out of the water on the 4th of July. Donnie and his friend gave the osprey a ride onto shore on the board. The osprey flew away after a short rest and shaking off the water. I’m so grateful for a happy ending. Video link is at the bottom of Donnie’s email.

Hi Barbara,
I have attached a few photos of us pulling the osprey into shore. I also tried to attach the video of him flying away at the end. Hope you can view that as well.
Regards,
Donnie

Thank you so much for sharing this! We have had several losses with chicks around our local Chesapeake Bay area for different reasons. It was nice to read/see a ‘happy-ending’ story about an Osprey in despair for a change. J Kudos to Donnie and his friend for the rescue!
