Hi Bob,i am aware of all the maps and the bird's,i'm curious as to
what the situation is regarding Rafael,
i may have missed a important message as to why this adult has been
given it's final map,a little info
would be greatly appreciated.

I guess that's my fault for not finishing the last map for Rafael and
making it clear what happened. As best we can figure, he should have
been named Houdini--he got his transmitter off way back whenever that
last map was. We lost the signal from him from one hour to the next
and a male was seen at Rafael's nest, looking like he owned the place.
This is the only bird that this has happened with. So, we assume he's
down somewhere in South America, chilling out until next spring.

Fresh-water Bay, thanks for asking Rob about Rafael!! I wanted to ask,
but was afraid of the answer.

Rob, can antennas break off the transmitters? Just a thought.

I suppose anything's possible, but I think this is very unlikely. Much
more likely that I messed up when I stitched the harness straps
together, or that one of the attachment points on the transmitter
broke.
