When I got this call yesterday I told Steve Wigh that the osprey’s best chance was them because they were right there.  The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission boat was in the area and drove right by the group of people who were waving and shouting but the boat couldn’t stop because of a higher priority call.  The FWC said on the phone they would come back later but by then the group of citizens had teamed up and managed to get the osprey safely out of the water.  I’m hoping he is okay with no fractures, x-rays will be taken this morning but the exam yesterday went well and he actually appeared to be unhurt.  I just love this because the people, including Steve Wigh, who left his office to go out there, were not going to give up until they got the osprey out of the water.  My faith is restored.  The video is great and there is a neat surprise.  Please share.
