It will take a while to get back necropsy information on the eagles, but more troubling is that out of 16 active osprey nests only 1 nest produced young this year, following last year’s failures in that population as well.  Could the great horned owls be responsible for all of that, barring the eagles that is?

This is so heart breaking, I have been reading WAY TO MANY things this season about Eagles & Osprey nests no working out. Please post if you hear anything Barb, I would really like to know if it is the Owls or what. Thank you for keeping us updated on these things, we know how busy you are. Again thanks so much.
