Four of our 7 tagged birds are moving north. North Fork Bob left 5 days earlier than either of the two previous years we followed him. Sr. Bones usually leaves on the 20th, so he's probably packing his bags. Our two youngsters (class of 2010 and 2011) haven't started moving yet. Teenagers always get up late!
Most exciting is the reappearance of our cell-tower transmitter birds, Bridger and Rammie, who rather miraculously found cell towers down in very, very remote corners of South America. We hadn't heard from either in months and didn't know if they were alive. They're both fine and both heading home. Check it out at the site:
