Hello,

Is there a Mac OS X Snow Leopard port?  If not, has anyone started work on it or is there something you can point me to for suggestions on how to port?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

Rob also forwarded your mail to us regarding your interest in a Mac OS X
port of OpenSplice. I think he also mentioned that you were maybe
interested in getting your hands dirty by being involved in the porting
effort, which is fantastic.

We have had a number of community members express an informal interest
in this but we haven't seen sufficient for us to be able to justify
acquiring the kit and dedicating resources to making it an official
supported platform. That is: not so far - this may well change.

What we think makes sense to do is for us to put a branch into the
opensplice.org repository and give access to this to some interested Mac
people, like yourself, to see what can be done by the community working
together with us. Would this appeal to you ?

If so I'd propose next that we set you up with some commit access to the
repository and maybe 'introduce' you to some other people who are
interested on working on this, inside and outside PrismTech. If you want
to do this could you send me a ssh public key so I can get the repo
access sorted please.

If there's anyone else out there who'd be interested to contribute some
work on a Mac port then please get in touch - you can mail me or any
other favoured Prism contact direct. The branch will be fully visible to
all for testing but if there's any other Mac fans out there who would
like to get more seriously involved by submitting code and fixes then
contact us and we can grant you write access to the repo.
