I'm building myself, because of previous f-droid build issues, and
because I was adding accuracy indicators for RTK, but I was using 18.01.
My workflow is to record tracks with Vespucci and also "add node", but
just typing notes to self, and then later take these files (which are in
NAD83 because that's how my RTK network service works), convert to
ITRF2014, and then edit with josm.
I had three issues with GPX tracks:
First, the 'export track' option in the GNSS menu that just drops a
file named with date/time is gone. I just want to save it. I want to
save it semi often, so that if Vespucci crashes I have most of it
(used to be an issue, has not been recently). I clean up from my real
computer; it's synced with syncthing. Surely this was intentional but
I miss it.
I have the vespucci dir as Downloads/Vespucci. I have a LAYERS subdir
where I have geojson for reference (exported from qgis where I have
some non-public data, a copy of some state data (easements), etc.).
That all seems to be ok. I then found the GPX layer and tried to
export into the main Vespucci dir, and got a failure. Finally I
tried in the LAYERS dir and that worked. So I suspect there is some
permission funniness.
Before I exported, after hiking, I exited Vespucci. I then, at my
computer (but not connected) started it again and my track was gone.
Then I did 'start gpx track' and it appeared, so I paused. I think
there's a bug where the GPX layer is only added on start, but not
added when starting vespucci if the stored track is non-null.
I should update before filing bugs, but I wonder if others are seeing
this.
