(avoiding spamming the bugtracker with half-baked thoughts)

I find that I want to switch between map tiles (standard mapnik usually)
and imagery (bing usually). I realize that every button showing is
clutter, but I wonder about a way to select a map and an imagery layer
and to easily flip between them. Or perhaps it would be useful to show
imagery if zoomed in far enough and one has data, and map otherwise.

Others may be diferent, but I use the map to get oriented and find
something, and want to see imagery to actually add things to the map.
But I have only done what would have been 5 changesets in JOSM using
vespucci so far, so I feel very new.

Greg, there is actually already an issue that partially touches on the
topic https://github.com/MarcusWolschon/osmeditor4android/issues/435

But actually I suspect your functionality would be covered by a simpler
"previous layer" function (a la "prev channel" on TV sets), which would
be simple enough to do, but likely would have to be in a menu as we
don't really have a good place to put it on screen right now. I'm
playing with the idea of adding a drawer of sorts with the most used
menu items, but that isn't likely to happen short term.
