Importing GPX NOT as Track

Dear Friends,
Total newbie to OsmAnd. Trying to migrate information from my decades old Pocket Earth Pro to OsmAnd. I can export a Group of what PEPro calls GroupsofPins to a GPX file, but when I try to Import that file to OsmAnd, it is automatically converted to a Track.
What I'm hoping to create is a Group of what I think is supposed to be Favorites, that I can then apply styles to and see in some kind of List of Favorites.
I have no idea where to begin to accomplish this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

My mistake! For some strange reason, Pocket Earth Pro exported my Folder/Group of Pins as a Track. I'll work on trying to convert the Tracks to Groups/Folders of POIs/Pins.

It is even better that your POI/waypoints are stored as a track.
It is much easier to maintain and styles of icons, color can be made as in favorities.
Tracks works much faster than favorites in case when you have a lot of waypoints (more than 1000)
