Being tech challenged I have a question. We are planning  a cycling trip in Europe and as part of the prep I download the countries we will be in. My android phone did them quite fast but my tablet is really slow. Is this an indicator of something?
Thanks!

Hi! OsmAnd doesn't currently show download speed in the interface. You can export downloaded maps from your phone to copy locally to your tablet. For help, contact sup...@osmand.net.

Unfortunately, that's not easy.
On modern versions one needs Shizuku.
Since many people care about several devices (3 in my case)
one needs a feature to copy maps from one device to another one like
Warpinator(F-Droid) or FX preferably by using Mobile Hotspot. This would save s lot of bandwidth in addition

If OSMand would use / offer to store its map data in /Android/media instead / in addition to the /data prison, things would be fine.
There are a number of file managers that can read/write to that location without hassle or tweaks.
