Hi everyone,
In the past I got map updates all 14-20 days. Currently there is no updates. My newest map is aprox. 30 days old.

Did somebody know whats wrong and when map updates available?

Greetings :-)

OsmJunky is right though. The maps accessible from inside OsmAnd are only partially up-to-date. Quite some maps are not up-to-date. The rawindexes list is different from the mirrors OsmAnd downloads from (AFAIK).

Maybe this has to do with the new development of the "<country>_<region>_road" maps which took quite some time the past weeks.

And note that I mention "<country>_<region>_road" and not "<country>_<region>_roads-only". They are comparable with the roads_only maps but with more extended data and options.

I assume it will be announced due time.

Thanks for the explenations. Yesterday my map updates starts with poland (full 700mb) and today with 2 german regions. one think is a bit courios. the rawindex mentioned above didn't show that e.g. poland was updated on 3.9.2015 why?

Does a description exists how the maps are created (build schedule, build order ...)?

Greetings :-)

You might like to look at the BTSync Initiative that Miguel D. set up.

Since this topic was created BTSync has evolved a lot... there is an Android app, so it is possible to keep android devices up-to-date.
I've created a folder containing all obf maps. I have a script that periodically checks for updates and downloads new maps.
Use the following secret: BZVMBM27I7ASB4673MZDJYENGLTYXWJLA
This secret is read-only! Meaning that with that secret, users can only download files and cannot modify them or add.

Some stats:
- *_europe_* : 19 GB
- *_asia_*: 8 GB
- *_northamerica_*: 9 GB
- *_centralamerica_*: 514 MB
- *_southamerica_*: 1050 MB
- *_africa_*: 816 MB

You can tell it to ignore certain files by using an ignore file a sample is attached.
