How to use/anable a gmapsupp.img file in the Osmand program?

Hello,
Just downloaded a 'selected map' (around 900 Mb, region couvered Frankfurt-Venice) and put in in Downloads of the mounted Sd card of my Androidtablet.
Purchased the Free version of Osmand: how can I visualise my map: cannot find the right clue to do this.
Or, is there another way to use Openstreetmap (tiles., .img gmapsupp) in the Osmand navigator? I want to depict also my .gpx tracks.

Hi,
OsmAnd only supports obf files (see OsmAnd download manager) or map tiles.
