Hello,

Hello, I cannot find tracks I've created in GPX format using the "Trip Recording" feature when exploring/searching (searched for file name as well as *.GPX) using an Android file explorer app, nor Windows Explorer on my PC.  My goal is to find the actual GPX files/tracks to use in another program.

I can find the GPX file I created in another application and used to nativate during my trip when searching with Android or Windows Explorer, but I cannot find the recorded tracks that were created while driving.

I've attached a screenshot showing the logging GPX tracks are seen by the OSMAND app, just can't find the actual files.  Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Have you looked at Settings/General settings/Data storage folder ?
That should give you the location where the GPX files are stored. If you can't see that, perhaps there is a permissions issue.

Hello,
I have the same problem, I cannot find the GPX file I created, neither the Data storage folder : the folder /data/user/0/net.osmand.plus/no_backup doesn't exist .... If it's a permission issue, how could I solve it ?
Thank you in advance for your help.

First of all:
OsmAnd does not automatically save the gpx file when stoppingthe gpx  recording with OsmAnd still active. You have to manually save the gpx file.
If you don't save the file manually, OsmAnd will save it on the next startup of OsmAnd. And that's really a full closure of OsmAnd, not simply pressing "back tapping"  until your are back on your Android home screen.

So either save the file yourself, or really completely restart OsmAnd.

If you did one of both, you can find the file back in /Android/data/net.osmand.plus/files/tracks/rec  (Osmand+) or in /Android/data/net.osmand/files/tracks/rec  (OsmAnd free).

Yes, I have found a solution. I place the GPX file in any folder, I click on it, and an OsmAnd message simply proposes me to import it. I hope it will also work for you.

Hi,

It's y2017 and Osmand+ 2.5.4, I have the same problem as you had. Plus some similar issues long before.

So far, the only solution working for me is to reboot the device. Annoying, but it usually helps.

OTH, saving manually does not help, neither does quitting Osmand (or rather force-stopping as 2.5.4 does not seem to have the 'Exit' command on the menu...).

Regards,

W.
