I'm not sure I understand the question, but if you want to calculate the area that a track encloses, I don't think that's possible. Osmand's Measure Tool doesn't measure area either.  Perhaps exporting the GPX to a website for the calculation?  I haven't looked, but maybe there's one out there.

GPSU (www.gpsu.co.uk) will do it. - and many other things with tracks!
