Hi, I have the following problem - even I have uninstalled/reinstalled OSMAnd.
I tried compute a short route (only 15km long) within Berlin.
This takes quite  a lot of time (too much), the route looks good, BUT OSMAnd predicts a time of more than one hour for the car profile. The parameters in the car profile look good.
What options do I have?
Many thanks for a hint,
Helmut.

if I understood correctly you have 2 issues with the application
1. slow time results from the route algorithm
2. the ETA (Estimated time of arrival) has bad results

1.
After 3 decades, the manufacturers of navigation products, have many different solutions, depending on the needs of the consumer. That's why i have found, it is better to use sygic or here wego for car navigation into the city and the osmand for 4x4 car navigation into the nature.

2. only the GOD knows the true ETA answer. The navigation software tries. How ... ??? i will say what i have learn
- collect in real time traffic data from data servers using internet access
- using statistics when we navigate from our device
- No3 but very important, the map data has integrated traffic data. If we have one map provider like HERE or tomtom, we have very good results. But what about the free osm map provider ????

i hope those personal answers to help you

Is it just one route that is like this or all (if you plan different start and end points)?

for me, the osmand is the worst solution for car city navigation

- there is no 3D navigation
- can't run into old devices with low hardware specs (1GB ram, 4 CPU cores)
- it consume a lot of energy
- the route algorithm needs for every Km, time up to 1 sec

into the market , there are competitive apps like Magic Earth, MapFactor or MAPS.ME. All of them are using osm maps and none of the 4 reasons i have say can be found when we are using those apps. As an example i want to say that ...
- when we use osmand into city route of 50-60 km, the time is 15-20sec only for ONE result. With those 3 other apps the route results can be from 1-3 answers and the time results, long as 1-2 sec. The tests have been done into my device.

for city navigation i suggest maps only from tomtom, here and google

Many thanks to all who tried to help me!

Definitely NO! I don't know about any other offline navigation method on my Android phone which allows me to mark certain parts of a street as blocked.
With other apps I tried many times to escape road works but was led in to these again and again.

And now to my problem: OSMAnd doesn't seem to be bricked but it is strange.
I tried to compute a route within Berlin, from Pasteurstraße 6 to Sanghauser Weg 1
using the car profile with OSMAnd - I haven't changed any settings of the car profile.

I get the following results:
  • OSMAnd      takes 62 seconds to compute a route of 15.6 km and estimates the ETA as 64 minutes (slower than a bicycle)
  • Magic Earth takes 4 seconds   to compute a route of 16.8 km and estimates the ETA as 39 minutes
  • HERE WeGo takes 4 seconds to  offer 3 routes of 37 minutes / 17 km, 33 minutes / 16 km and 35 minutes / 18 km
  • ONLINE Google maps finds a route of 15.6 km with an ETA of 29 minutes
  • ONLINE openrouteservice  finds a route of 15.9 km with an ETA of 33 minutes
Is there any explanation why OSMAnd is so slow (on a short route) and computes such an unrealistic ETA??
