I've installed Osmand 2.80 on an iPhone 6 plus with iOS 12.3.1

The phone is in good condition, I did a full reset and fresh install of iOS before installing Osmand.

I'm running the paid version with currently a global, Dutch and Swedish map installed as well as contour lines and hill shading.

This is my first attempt at using Osmand on an iPhone, yet I am experienced using and navigating with Osmand on Android without any issues.

Osmand keeps crashing. In particular when using the zoom in and out buttons and when using the button that focuses the map on the current gps location. The app seems currently to heavily drain the battery.

It seemed at first tapping the screen was causing issues so I completely disabled Siri but that hasn't resolved the crashing. I've also removed and reinstalled the app to no avail.

Any suggestions as to possible causes and solutions are welcome.

An update:

So far I have not been able to run Osmand on my iPhone without crashing.

I have experimented with several navigation apps to see how maps were rendering and if the gps functions normally. Everything seems to work perfectly fine without any issues. Oh well, maybe the next version of Osmand can run on my iPhone.

I've been experimenting with 2.80 on a 6S and an XS.  I'm seeing some inconsistencies with GPX recording--not sure if it's a signal problem or related to the app.  But so far, no crashing on either phone.

There are some reports of crashing over on Github: https://github.com/osmandapp/OsmAnd-ios/issues
