Hi,

Have not used OsmAnd for a while... And now faced issue with upgrade, described here: https://code.google.com/p/osmand/wiki/FAQ#OsmAnd+_installation_on_the_USB_memory_or_SD_card_failed

Could not find the way to "export" favorites. Found hints here: http://osmand.net/help/HowToArticles.html#How_To_Reinstall_.60OsmAnd.60  but I do not have mentioned "Export" icon. Maybe it appeared in later version of OsmAnd.

Anyway, question: where OsmAnd 1.9.5 stores favorites? How can I export them? Will import in newer version I am trying to install (2.1, I believe) work?

Thanks.

Favorites are stored in the favourites.gpx file under the osmand folder. You can use that file to import in another application.

Read about this file, but I cannot locate favourites.gpx nor favorites.gpx on the phone. Where this file is normally stored? I was able to find "osmand" folder only on SD-card, since I configured OsmAnd to store downloaded maps there...

I have Android 4.2 based CyanogenMod if it may matter.

On android older than 4.4 that file should be stored in the osmand folder on sd-card.

When using android 4.4 or newer, try the path Android/data/net.osmand ...Success?

In case of doubt, can you search for that file with a file explorer like TotalCommander?

I must have been blind. Found it under name favourites.gpx. Indeed resides in ./osmand of SD card. Thanks for pointers, will try upgrade now...
