How to change the heuristicCoeffient?

As in previous versions of OSMAnd, I have downloaded the current routing.xml file.

I've changed the name from car to the car15 and I have set the heuristicCoeffient to 1.5.

I have copied this file to Android/data/net.osmand.plus/files/routing. 

After restarting OSMAnd I don't see the new car15 profile. 

What am I missing?

P.S. I am using a recent developer version 4.0....

You should not only rename the routing.xml to car15.xml but also the header of the profile like

<routingProfile name="car15" baseProfile="car" restrictionsAware="true" minSpeed="20.0" defaultSpeed="45.0" maxSpeed="130.0" leftTurn="5" rightTurn="5" roundaboutTurn="5" onewayAware="true" heuristicCoefficient="1.5">

Did you do that?

And you can remove all explanatory text above and all other profiles below the modified profile. That makes the file ~3kb instead of ~87 kb

Furthermore, the file "mycar15" in Android/data/net.osmand.plus/routing gets deleted after the next restart of OSMAnd. This happened earlier.

Strange. I have never seen that.

Try to reboot your phone and before starting osmand to add the  profile.

Just to make sure: you type "mycar15", but I assume you mean "mycar15.xml"

Can you change the heuristicCoeffient with a bleeding edge version of OSMAnd?

On my device the file car15.xml gets removed from  ..... /files/routing.

It works for me. I just downloaded the latest nightly and copied my own mycar15.xml into the routing folder. 

I started OsmAnd dev and created a new profile, where you first have to choose one of the standard profiles, in this case Car.

I saved the profile, reopened it and under navigation settings now selected my mycar15.xml profile.

It does not work immediately for some reason. I don't know why, and I don't know either whether it previously worked when clicking "Create new profile" and immediately being able to select the new one. 

Also when creating another new profile I can not directly select my mycar15.xml, but only the existing profiles, where my previously created profile "auto 1.5" is one of them.

See attached if you want to test mine and compare it with yours.

Feel free to share yours so I can have a look at it.
