Dear all,

  It there any *quick* way to see coordinates of a Favorite?
  I know at least three ways to get it, but they looks like workarounds:

  - show favorite on map / zoom in as close as possible / long click over map nearby – to see approximate coordinates in appeared text box (accuracy will depend on zoom level and your fingers);
  - show favorite on map  / click on text box to get context menu / choose “Search near here” / choose “Coordinates” tab to see almost exact coordinates (slightly rounded);
  - use any file manager to read the contents of "favourites.gpx" file – to get exact coordinates...

  So if there is no easier way, it would be handy:

  1) in Favorites list, when favorite is clicked, to have one more action (e.g. “Get more info”) – to see coordinates and maybe something else useful;
  2) .. or, better, in the same Favorites list, when favorite is clicked, to have existing action “Edit favorite” with more info available, incl. coordinates (now it allows to edit Name and Category, but I guess that to add coordinates will be the simplest way to implement);
  3) at Map, in context menu when text box is clicked, add one more item “Edit favorite” with the same effect as (2) above (now we can only Delete favorite there, but not Edit).

Afaik, there is no option such as "view details", but a quick workaround is to long press the favourite, then click the balloon and choose "Share location". Then choose QR-code or SMS... I agree, these workarounds are not a very elegant solution, but I think that most times, people only "use" a favourite, without caring about its exact location. Or do you have a special use case for this?

Rodolfo,

  Thanks!   it works for me - share thru SMS is a way to know coordinates of a favorite, quicker than I used in the past.

  I will try to recall what were my other "special cases", but so far I remember that several times I had to read out coordinates to enter into another devices manually - to "share" favorites between devices and different programs, when no export/import or copy/paste is available..

My use case for wanting to *edit* the coordinates of a favourite is to enter the exact coordinates of a Geocache, which may come from calculations, or be discovered on the move, when the coordinates of the next waypoint are discovered during a multi-cache.
