I want to modify the topo.render file so that the protected areas (boundary = protected_area, national_park) can be rendered at the minimum zoom level (level 1,2,3,4). This should be possible because roads labeled highway = trunk are rendered at those levels.
Could you tell me what code I should modify in the topo.render file or maybe in the default.render or rendering_types file

thanks to all.

No, this is not possible the way you want it. The world map is till zoom level 10. The detailed maps start at level 11. This is what OsmAnd is built upon (and most other nav apps by the way).
The fact that trunks are visible is for the same reason as borders, big water masses, etc.: To give the user some overview of the continent, countries, and the "arteries" (highways/trunks) connecting the big cities.

Your wish is not only about visibility. These elements are simply not in that map at that level as they are not needed there. Why enlarge the map with items that are not visible (sbould not be visible) at that level?
If you want to do this you need to create your own worldmap, ór create your own map with the protected areas as some kind of a 2nd worldmap.

This requires much more than simply changing the topo renderer as it also requires you to change the renderingtypes.xml and use it to build your own maps.

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but it can be worth playing with the map magnifier in cases like this. (In "Configure map" or long press on one of the +/- buttons). E.g. if you go to zoom 11 and set the magnifier to 25% you can see a large area, still using the detailed map under control of the *.render.xml file. Rendering gets very slow...

I have no idea if that helps with the current question, though!

Hello everyone. Thank you very much for answering.
Your responses have helped me understand better.
I must modify the world_basemap file or the world_basemap_mini file to include the protected areas.

I regularly update my country's pbf file manually using windows and osmandmapcreator, but I have never worked with the world_basemap_mini file.
Does anyone have any idea how I should do it?
