Hi All,

Finally MapCreator has been fixed and new map generation on its way.

The latest feature, being introduced, is deep customization of POI tags :
- No difference to define additional for Map Secition in obf and for POI section. Additional could be "text" - stored as it is and additional="true" the dictionary will be built.
- Additional tags (we can add "cuisine", "internet", "max:levels", ...) are visible in show POI description.

Regards,
Victor

So I have not managed yet to try the latest maps from Sweden about the Göteborg issue (missing streets there) ... and the maps for Germany Baden-Württemberg about missing street in Feldberg.

Is there anyboty who can report about these issues?

If you don't know what I am talking about, search for Göteborg and Feldberg in this google group ...

Victor applied enhanced functionality to the maps and applied a fix for a change which completely broke the maps generation (hence the missing maps update). With that new OsmandMapCreator version the maps of 24/25/26 November were created. This version did not contain the Sweden fix yet.
He applied another fix today and rescheduled the Sweden map. So we have a 25 November Sweden map, which doesn't function correctly for Göteborg.
And  now we have an even newer Sweden map of 26 November which does function correctly.
From what I understood the streets are now linked to a city centre (node) if a city admin boundary (way) can't be found.

So yes: The Sweden issue has been solved.

I just scheduled the Germany_baden-wuerttemberg map also for regeneration as it also was made with the "old" 24 November OsmandMapCreator function. That version has a 25 november time stamp. The currently running generation should have a 26 November time stamp when ready.
I don't know whether I can test that one tonight as I'm out (in about 5-8 minutes).
I will come back on that one (if noone else does).

Harry

The Theodor-Kruez-Strasse is now found as well, but not in Feldberg but in Lenzkirch (http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=16/47.86152/8.11768).
There are 2 Feldbergs in the region by the way. Not the Feldberg as desired is found, but the Feldberg 36 km further. That is slightly confusing.
Nevertheless, when searching for the Theodor-Kreuz-Strasse it is found.

So that issue is solved as well.

It is right that searching for "Feldberg" may be confusing:

* Feldberg is a city (79868 Feldberg (Schwarzwald), Deutschland) 47.8576908,8.0383872, with urban districts (or villages) which belong to it: Feldberg(-Ort), Feldberg-Bärental, Altglashütten, Neuglashütten, Mittelfalkau, Vorderfalkau, but NOT Lenzkirch.
look for http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feldberg_%28Schwarzwald%29 , http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lenzkirch, Feldberg and Lenzkirch are communities in Landkreis Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald ("Landkreis" is administrative district) in Baden-Württemberg
So there may be something wrong with the borders, but in map or in search function ?

If I search Feldberg as city in RouteConverter I find: 47.8561110,8.1116670,Feldberg (Schwarzwald); Deutschland, which shows me the center of Altglashütten, which is not really wrong, (but better would be finding Feldberg(-Ort)).
The same result you get with https://maps.google.de/  -> finding the center of Altglashütten

Theodor-Kreuz-Strasse is in Altglashütten and so it belongs to Feldberg (again, but NOT Lenzkirch)

* Feldberg is a very small village 47.7734688, 7.6418066, which belongs to 79379 Müllheim

* Feldberg is the highest montain of the Black Forest, 47.8739611,8.0046772

Tested with latest map Bad-Wuertt 2013-11-26.
Thanks, Peter

I don't look at Wikipedia and the such. I look at nominatim.openstreetmap.org and simply search for the name. (which gives you something like http://nominatim.openstreetmap.org/details.php?place_id=98184825), and then "click" the relation to openstreetmap.org for a bigger view, but you are right.
If you look at the admin boundary of Lenzkirch (http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/relation/317630) those streets (and Altglashütten itself) does not belong to Lenzkirch.
They all belong to the Feldberg boundary (http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/relation/317609).

I think this is (still) an Osmand error as the OSM data seems to be correct.

But at least it is consistently wrong:
Theodor-Kreuz-strasse -> Lenzkirch
Feserstegweg -> Lenzkirch
Ortsstrasse (or Ortsstraße) ->Lenzkirch

I found another bug though: With repetitive "search in neighborhood cities" it doesn't find anything at all anymore. You really have to stop/start OsmAnd.

Indeed ... all mentioned streets are within the Feldberg relation with admin_level=8 ... So Osmand's association from streets to place seems to be wrong.

Maybe we have to look into germany_baden-wuerttemberg.obf via inspector.bat from mapcreator.

I am not able today because lack of time :-(
