Directions when following track

Hello!
I'm using OSMand to navigate along gpx tracks, mostly offroad (motorcycle, mtb, hiking).
My problem is that OSMand shows a turn sign when there may be a 30% change in the direction on a straight road, or on a winding section it would also tell me a direction to follow.
What I would expect.
Show directions only at intersections with other roads, trails etc. Directions are not needed on a road from where I can't make a turn. This makes it confusing since I never know if the direction is for real or I need to make a turn to a different street/trail, or it's just a turn upcoming.
It's hard to explain it more clearly, but I don't know how to attach a screenshot here.

Why do some sections get an indication of a turn, and the intersection does not?

The reason is that when you follow a GPX, you are only following that and not the underlying map.  Therefore there is no information on intersections, roads, trails etc. The only turns are, as you note, the turns in the road itself.

This video discusses the problem and suggests an imperfect workaround.

One of possible options is to Install BRouter application or usage BRouter
web http://brouter.de/BRouter-web/ and to generate GPX by them. The is a
feature to include waypoints with navigation hints for OSMAnd, so OSMand is
able to produce visual/voice turning instructions on real crossroads,
junctions.

In the chosen routing profile on the web, one must modify the following to
explicitly use OSMAnd, as local BRouter application can detect, what
application is used, but the web cannot.

assign turnInstructionMode = 3 # 0=none, 1=auto-choose, 2=locus-style,
3=osmand-style

I have attached a sample of such GPX, generated for OSMAnd by BRouter
application near the border of the city of Brno ( Moravia, Czech Republic,
Europe )

@Alexander, as Bert put it, Osmand follows the track literally ignoring any underlying map. In fact, there could be no map at all for it to work. Consider it as a feature not a bug. I got used to it after a while and can tell what the turn will be by the message. I guess that depends on the language of TTS but I found that "turn slightly" indicates a curve on the way while "turn" indicates a junction in most cases.

@Poutnik, is there a guide on setting up and using BRouter local app with Osmand (or the same for an online engine)?

Not sure if there is an universal and/or conprehensive guide, rather some partial resources:

See
or the signpost with various links https://brouter.de/brouter/
or the archive of the BRouter official support
Google group https://groups.google.com/forum/?pli=1#!forum/osm-android-bikerouting  (has email interface too for posting )

You can also visite my github repositories, focused on BRouter routing profile development and usage

That is not quite true. Osmand also tells you to take a turns on a curvy road when you are not following a GPX track, when you're following the map. It also tells you to turn right or left when there is just a small traffic refuge to drive around.
