I have Osmand on my Sony Xperia Z1, and a built-in bluetooth audio system in my car.
Phone calls from the Xperia are working fine, but to receive Osmand directions the car audio system has to be switched to BT media input and Osmand output also set to media/music output.
By doing so, I can not receive calls on the car audio system anymore.
As I'm a service engineer, I need to be available by phone, but to receive driving directions would be nice too.

Is there a way to switch off bluetooth audio for osmand so I can get driving directions via the phone speaker?

You might test to see if setting OsmAnd output to the voice call channel would work concurrently with the call BT to your car audio. 2.2.4 settings/general settings/voice/voice guidance output.

You might have to select another music source if your phone or audio system doesn't allow concurrent BT A2DP and voice call. The settings options lead me to believe it should do both since there is a tick box to interrupt music during announcements.

Good luck

I tested out the follwoing settings:
Car: Bluetooth media
Osmand: Media/Music --> works
Notifications --> not working
Calls --> not working

Car: Audio (phone calls will mute Radio/CD)
Osmand: Media/Music --> not working
Notifications --> not working
Calls --> not working

There are no more settings I can try. If I switch the car audio system to BT media I cannot receive calls via the car audio system.
Any Idea?

An option to set Osmand to use the phone's internal speakers would be great....
