OSMand Plus crashed every minute after i ve updatet to the new Version

Hi,

my OSMand+ crash every minute after i had updated the new Version. What to do?

I have deinstalled the complete app.
I have connected the phone to my PC and deleted the folder "osmand" on the SD-Card.
Restart the phone.
I have installed osmand+ from the playstore and load all german maps.
Made my configuration and restart OSMand.

If i just start osmand it will not crash. If i swipe a lot and look around in the map, zoom in and out it will crash.


Activate Plugins are:
Online-Maps, GPX-Record and OSM Live

Hi,

I have a lot of testing. The problem is OSM Live. When OSM Live is enabled, the Daily updated map is loaded. The existing monthly map and the to-date map interfering. It takes a long delay and crashes OsmAnd. My solution is to cancel the subscription of OSM Live. Now it works with monthly maps.

Mine freezes for a while when putting a marker on the map. Shortly after I get the message " Osmand is not responding" it releases again.
Wonder what that could be.

I too am experiencing OsmAnd+ freezing  regularly & seeing the "OsmAnd+ is not responding" pop up, often when trying to place a map marker.  App often takes up to 30 seconds to place a map marker.  

I have not subscribed to live updates. Active plug ins are online maps & contour lines. I had some additional side loaded maps - British Isles Addessses Nationwide & England/Scotland/Wales Postcodes Addesses Europe.  I have removed them but the problem persists.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app & deleted all maps then re-downloaded them to see if this helps.

Note 4 on 5.1.1 unrooted.  OsmAnd+ 2.3.3

PS another strange behaviour since update to 2.3.3 is that I don't use night mode yet when searching for an address then selecting from the results there is a lengthy pause whilst the app seems to display in night mode (the background is dark & only partially drawn) before it eventually displays the map with the marker in day mode

Me too, but not always. Mainly in bigger maps like whole spain.

It sounds like the address search feature added in 2.3.3 could be causing your problem.

It has been fixed, and the fix has been merged into the 2.3 branch too.

Victor has said he'll be doing another release of 2.3.x to the Play Store soon.

Version 2.2 also crashed when zooming and moving.

The same freezing with a smaller map of spain (catalonia).
The problem occurs only with setting car, it works as usual after switching to setting bicycle.

Shortly in May I need osmand with working car setting in spain. :-(
