The answer to this may already exist but I have not found it . . .

I would like to be able to display and follow a previously recorded
gpx route e.g. http://www.walkingclub.org.uk/book_1/walk_14/TOCW1_Walk_14_Gomshall_to_Guildford.gpx

I have tried:
- Map / define view /gpx track / <track name>
- Settings / Off-line data / GPX data <track name> Show on map.

All that I seem to be able to display is either the start or end point
of the gpx route.

The gpx file properly on my Garmin Oregon 300.

(I am using OsmAnd 0.7.1 beta on Samsung Galaxy S2.)

Suggestions?

Here is how you do it:
- Save the gpx-file in /Osmand/tracks on you SD card
- Then in Osmand, on the map screen, select "Menu/Directions", then on
the following dialogue select "GPX route", then pick the GPX file you
want, then (optionally) some additional options like follow it in
reverse direction, etc.

Pls try to convert the gpx file with www. gpsies.com. You must
convert the file with GPX track. You can find it on the site,
And than store it into the osmand map> tracks. Pls try than de
osmand app.
Success

Thank you, it works beautifully.

I tried both this and the conversion method suggested by JanOak, which also works, but this is simpler. It seems I need to select the "Use current destination" option after selecting the gpx file otherwise it tries to route me from my current location (at home).

Something for the FAQ page?

I'll tryed like discribed, but it won't work.

This file is convertet via gpsies as gpx track.
http://groups.google.com/group/osmand/browse_thread/thread/552473f76555cc55/ce0839b2b1f5a8b7?lnk=gst&q=gpx#ce0839b2b1f5a8b7

The gpx files createt via osmand are working without any problem.

Any idea?

App: 0.7.2
Device: Samsung Galaxy SII
OS: Android 4.0.4

Hi there!

There was a bug in 0.7.2 regarding reading some gpx files. It is fixed now, probably not yet released.
This might be cause. You can check with last master-7.2 night build or wait for bug fix release.

Best regards,
Pavol
