I imported a gpx file with route information (waypoints) and a track.
I choose this track to navigate with the option 'Calculate route between points' enabled
In the navigation settings of the bycycle profile I have disabled all messages in 'Show alerts' and  'Announce.. (including Track Wayponts).

During the navigation I get the messages "200 meter to intermediate destination"and "you have reached your intermediate destination". I  did not expect to get thes mesages because I turn the messages for Track Waypoints off. Are thes Intermedaite destinations not the same as Track Waypoints?

During  navigation I noticed that OsmAnd want me to go into a side street for a 50-80 meters and then turn back. The track showed normal on the street. This happened several times.

The track contains 11 waypoints including the final destination. After the 10th waypoint OsmAnd got confused. It wanted to navigate the track a second time. The starting point and the final destination are different but there is only a few meters between them.
How many waypoints are allowed in a track for OsmAnd?

Like you, I built my first track (in Garmin BaseCamp) with waypoints. When I tested it OsmAnd behaved as described by you.
If you are not moving exactly past the position of the waypoint while navigating, try OsmAnd to navigate to the waypoint again and again. Even if you have been away for a long time.
Since then, I no longer use waypoints in tracks. I use via points (Garmin BaseCamp notation) instead. With these I already created tracks with 400 via points. OsmAnd has no problem here.
If I really want to use the waypoints, I'll import the waypoints as Favorite. If the waypoints are part of a file, OsmAnd creates a folder with that name.

You are right!. I checked the track and placed the waypoints  more carefully. Then I navigated the track again. Now I experienced no problems at all. OsmAnd navigated along the track as it should.

I create routes on MyRouteApp.com. It is easy to create routes on this site and the gpx-files contains rte-waypoints (with adresss-information) and track information. When I create a route for my motorbike I always check the placing of the waypoints.
Now I created a test-route for my bycycle and dit not check the waypoints. The next time I will check the waypoints in testingroutes also.

Today I navigated a track on my motorcycle. I enabled the option 'calculate route between points'.
I experienced that OsmAnd tried to send me back to a routepoint. I do not know which one.  I followed the track but OsmAnd keeps sending me back. Then I disabled the option 'calculate route between points' and navigated the track in the old-fashioned way. That worked fine.

When I was almost at the half of the track I decided to enable the option 'calculate route between points'  again. At first OsmAnd wants me to leave the track but I just folowed the track. Then I passed a routepoint. It was properly announced. The next routepoint also was passed in a normal way. I decided to leave the track and take a shortcut. This would mean that one routepoint would be missed.   At first OsmAnd tried to get me back on the track but then it calculated  a new way to the track. The missed routepoint was skipped. OsmAnd stopped trying to navigate to this routepoint. This is the perfect behaviour.

But why does OsmAnd did not behave this way at the start of the track?? The only reason I can imagine is that the starting point and ending point of the track are the same. Perhaps OsmAnd gets confused by this. I think I try again with a ending point that is not the same  as the starting point and with at least 100m between them.

It is not an option in a menu. It is a setting you can only choose when you want to navigate a track

1. Click on the  navigation button on the bottom of the screen
2. Click on the Gear-wheel (options)
3. Choose a gpx-track
4. When you have choosen a gpx-track yoo will see the option 'Calculate route between points' just below the name of the track.

Unfortunately it is not a global setting. Every time you want to navigate a track you have to choose the option again.

Thanks, I found it. I have loaded tracks many times. This menu item but never activated, because I have been weaned from the beginning to save tracks with waypoints. Because that brought bad luck.
