Two different versions of how to setup development enviroment.

Hello,
I see there is 2 different versions of an article of how to build the app.

https://osmand.net/help-online/technical-articles#Install_Development_Environment.
First one suggesting to use repo tool, second one just to call git clone and use java 1.6 by default (while in the sources I see target API 1.7 for java)
Is it outdated?
