converting oziexplorer maps to use with osmand

Hi,
I am new to osmand, I have bunch of ozi explorer maps (.map file and big 4000x4000 png image) and I would like to use them with osmand. Is it possible? How can I convert ozi maps to be used with osmand? Thanks

It depends, which kind of Oziexplorer maps you are using.
Look at OsmandMapcreator. Perhaps you are lucky and your OziMaps use the the same sources.
You can use ozimaps on android with Androzic.
There is also the possibility to convert OziMaps to oruxmaps. http://androidcaching.com/?p=189
It could be, that there is a step in this process, which produce the tiles you are need for osmand. You have to test this.
