Can I download latest Obf file from osmand, add few more missing roads and create a new Obf ?

Or can I combine two obf files of the adjacent areas to make a single map ?

Any help is appreciated.

Normally, you can route over different obf files if the overlapping ways are the same (have the same id, form etc). Just put those two files on your SD card.

Adding ways or merging two obf files will be more difficult and will probably require you extract it to osm XML format or to a gis database first.

It is indeed possible to combine two or more *.obf files!

Download Osmand's Mapcreator for Desktop Computers with Java RE ...
try to get the nightly-build of MapCreator from osmand.net

In that zip archive you can also find a file inspector.bat or .sh

Run that file via the commandline interface of your OS with the
parameter -h to get detailed instructions about merging obf files.

By the way, there is an open ticket about the offline address search
in Osmand app after merging obf files:

Can we solve this issue?

Greetings from Stephan
