Hello,

I'm planning my inshore boat trip and was using the boat profile's height limit to prevent bridges that are to low.
This raised some questions:

1. is there a way to get a warning regarding the height instead of a re-routing if the height or with limits are hit?

2. as for the inshore bridges, it often an issue of decimeters or centimeters, so it would be nice to be able to set the height limit in more detail then 0.5m - or maybe have an entry field.

3. are there any planning on adding a depth limit also (i.e. if the water is to shallow, prevent me from going in)?

Thank in advance for your thoughts.

The heights are part of the routing.xml. See here: https://github.com/osmandapp/OsmAnd-resources/blob/master/routing/routing.xml#L1810

You can create your own profiles also using your modified whatever_routing.xml like I described in several posts.

For your "feature requests", the bullets 1,2,3, it is best to create an issue: https://github.com/osmandapp/Osmand/issues
This requires program modifications and the developers hardly check this "users for users" mailing list anyway.

Thank you so much for that hint regarding the custom routing.xml.

It turned out to be very easy to modify, so I created a routing with only boat profile and the specific options (i.e. full height, reduced height (layed mast), minimum height - and witdh).
This works very well and is easy to control and change in case of any need.

So basically, bullet 1 is only nice to have (as we know the area and are aware of possible height limits)
Bullet 2 is fixed by using a custom profile (where I just added the specific values)
