Is it possible to add a kml file, this one for instance: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17012933/zones.kml
to my existing map in OsmAnd?
If so, how do I do this? I can do it in Locus but I prefer using OsmAnd.
Thanks in advance!

There is GPSBabel that converts everything to everything. Converting KML-> OSM -> obf for example you can create your own map for OsmAnd. But you can use KML->GPX conversion

I've downloaded and installed GPSBabel but then I failed miserably.  :(
Under input and output formats I have around 150 different formats but I cannot find KLM or GPX. Am I getting blind?
Can anyone give directions?
And when/if I managed to convert my file, what is the next step to do? How do I get OsmAnd to show it?

Hi

I assume it should be:

In: Google Earth (Keyhole) Markup Language
Out: OpenStreetMap data files

Thank you. That supplied me with a file without errors anyway. But I still can't get it to show up on my map. :-(
It works (as I have already said) flawlessly in Locus, but the maps aren't free in Locus so I'd prefer to be able to use OsmAnd. But...

Hi Leif!

I think it is better to make a GPX-file instead of osm, because you can put it in /osmand/tracks and show it on the map via Osmand -> Settings -> Data-Management -> Tracks, or use it for routing via navigation -> select GPX route.

I use German language in Osmand, so terms may differ.

Regards
Manfred
