Screen sleep during navigation - how to keep screen on at all times?

Hi all,

I'm running the latest Android Osmand version and have the following new issue. During navigation (while connected to power), the screen goes black in between nav instructions, comes on very briefly for each new instruction, and then immediately goes black again, presumably to save power. I have not had this behaviour before and I cannot find the settings to keep the screen active at all times. I want to follow the route throughout not get a 0.5 second flash of it at the critical time when I want to examine the route, check I'm taking the right roundabout exit etc. Please can someone help? It is driving me insane.

HI,

In the navigation menu the one where you can change navigation settings per type, e.g. car, bike... I it the second last option. there you choose between several times and also off.

Thanks Martin. I assume you mean the "Turn screen on" menu item? If so, this menu item is not described correctly and needs to be fixed. It is called "Turn screen on". Selecting "never" would imply that the screen is never turned on during direction announcements once the screen has already gone off. "Never" should be renamed to "Screen always on" if this selection causes such behaviour.

Agree
