Hi,

I am often mountain biking on a predefined GPX route. For bikepacking competition for instance.
When diverting from the GPX route, I want to make OsmAnd+ guide me to the shortest path to rejoin the original GPX route.
I want OsmAnd+ to show me how to join the nearest point on the GPX route, NOT the original/last point on the GPX where I have left.
It seems that OsmAnd doesn't support such a behavior.

Problem is that OsmAnd+ only gives me 2 options, none of them is suitable:

1. Pass along entire track - it forces me to pass along the entire track, and when I miss the GPX track and want to rejoin it later on, it forces me to go back all the way to the last location on the GPX track. NOT GOOD.

2. Recalculate the shortest route to the destination point (this is the default when "pass along entire track" is disabled). In this mode OsmAnd+ "forgets" my GPX and recalculates a new route for me. But I do not want a new route. Instead, I want to rejoin the original GPX route in its nearest point from my current location and continue on this route.

Is there a configuration/setting I can use in OsmAnd+ that can provide me with the desired behavior?

I thought that disabling "Pass along entire track" (as you've done) and enabling "Calculate OsmAnd route for first and last route segment" more or less does this, although recalculations can be slow.  If your experience is otherwise, perhaps I'm wrong, at least for some situations.
